McMenamins East 19th Cafe
Tonight, Max’s parents, who are visiting for the next couple of days, treated us to ! McMenamins has become one of our favorites because we love the burgers and its close location.

I had the and a side salad with Sun-dried Tomato Vinaigrette, and it was delicious!! I had never eaten a Boca Burger and was super impressed with its taste.

Max had the Turkey sandwich with cranberries and a secret sauce, which happened to be the mustard on the table. He also got a side of ginger mushroom soup. He liked his sandwich, but the mustard overpowered the cranberries, which was his favorite part! He also couldn’t taste the ginger in the soup and compared it to french onion with mushrooms.
Sorry about the poor photos. It was super dark in the restaurant, so I had to use a flash.

We had a great time, so thanks Barbara and Steve!

Barbara also made us an amazing strawberry-raspberry-rhubarb crisp. It is HUGE and I have a feeling we will be sending more than half of it home with them.

It was perfect with some vanilla ice cream!
Tomorrow is Barbara’s birthday, so check back for Max’s birthday dinner and dessert from Sweet Life!
