I Quit
The wife of one of our cooks called Whitey yesterday, and said that her pacify wouldn't be showing up that evening exchange for his relay - that he originate another job and was quitting.
"Thanks fitted the observe," Whitey replied.
We had a sudden meeting with the rest of our kitchen crew, and they all rallied to cover his shifts this week so that we wouldn't be inadequate-handed. I love these people!
Later in the hour, one of our employees called in to say that her familiar (and co-worker) that was scheduled for that evening was indisposed and that she'd cover in support of her. Now that's more like it...
So model night was our earliest spell with solely two people in the front of the house, and it went in point of fact familiarly. Things slowed down around 8pm, so Whitey and I were competent to participate in in the dining neighbourhood and cautious of the 4th shelter of Monday sunset Football. We had a small collect of untested Bay fans (of which I am a freak) and we whooped and hollered through the final moments of the deception and the small overtime win as regards the Packers. :)
We added some items to our menu yesterday: a fresh pizza called the Lumberjack and a twosome of new strombolis, including my new favorite, the Blue Buffalo. I've been keeping the website updated with the latest-greatest menus, too, and keep institute that we're getting a lot of people job in To-Go orders after declaration the menu online.
Today, Whitey is affluent to pad out to tomfoolery 9 holes of golf with his friends. He irrevocably feels reliant that the day-shift in the kitchen can pull out lunch without him.
